Crossed Signals?

My Eddie is fine. He is not too happy with his little trip to see the vet, but he was happy to come home and occupy his favorite spot on the ottoman. They made him vomit. Only the second dose came up, so he digested the original dose and is safe from ticks, fleas and mites. A little over $200, but at least I don't have to rush a new shipment of Bravecto.

They warned that he might have diarrhea, so I put a pee pad on the bed with the intention of him having an accident on it and not on my bedding. I could hear his stomach gurgling as I tried to get to sleep. I am happy to report that all was clean and dry (except for dog hair) when I opened my eyes this morning.

Not normal yet and he is sticking to my side and avoiding Drew. Speaking of normal .... it was 80 degrees yesterday and absolutely wonderful. I planted some early peas and just to be on the safe side, I covered the bed with plastic and put the portable doggie fence up to keep BoJangles from pouncing on it. It looked like overkill, all my efforts, but I was glad I did it. It was raining and cold when I woke this morning.

I mowed for the first time this year and that is supposed to signal Spring! Maybe the signal didnt make it to the proper place?

    1. Eddie seems to lead a charmed life and is always stoic when he feels bad. He is still my sweet boy!

  2. I'm surprised the second dose wasn't already on its way to being digested.

    1. I gave him the first dose a couple of hours before the second dose he was not supposed to have. Since he was scooped up and taken to the vet almost immediately after that second dose, it was still pretty much intact. Thank goodness he did not chew it up before he swallowed it.

  3. That's a relief! Eddie is wise to be wary of Drew for a while, after the medicating, and getting thumped in the bed!

    1. Eddie has always been partial to me except when treats are involved. Just like your routine treats before you leave to go to town, they expect a treat from him when he gets up in the morning. Since he was offering what Eddie thought was a treat to Bo, Eddie just got in line. Since all the dogs are black, it is easy to mistake one head for the other! Bo will snatch a treat aggressively from your hand, while Eddie and Toni will carefully sniff it first then gently take the offering. Eddie is so slow that I have witnessed Bo snatch a treat from Eddie's teeth! So, if any dog would have been double dosed, I would have bet on Bo!
