Waffle House Merchandise?

 As soon as we took the last switchback turn coming out of the mountain Mr. BoJangles was so excited. He knew we were going home. When we turned on the main road going up the mountainside to our house, Toni was just ecstatic. Eddie just snuggled closer to me. As long as he has me, he doesn't care where we are.

Dora is happy back in her tank with her heat lamp. She gets sloshed around a lot. The kittens look a lot bigger, and Gray Lady is looking pretty rounded in the belly area. Geez, I hope she doesn't have another belly full of kittens. She was delighted to see me and ran to me. I gave her a turkey carcass to pick the meat off. She refused to share with Lucy, and I had to scrounge up another bone for her.

Okay, what you are waiting to hear ....... the fate of the deer feeder. It is still in place ..... and full of food. It did not work! All the food is still inside, none dispensed. So, am I right? Probably not exactly. They did not know there was food in it and did not attack it. I am willing to concede that I wasn't 100% right. But I did say it wouldn't work!

We get our news out of Atlanta and listening to the local news in Atlanta can be educational. For instance, I did not know that Waffle House sells merchandise. They featured it as one of the Christmas pop-up stores. Their words, not mine. I always thought the middle of the mall held kiosks, but I stand corrected by the citizens of Atlanta.

And can I just say that if I am gifted a Waffle House shirt with a logo on it, or a snow globe featuring the Waffle House, Christmas day will not be pleasant!

I am showered and warm and I think my bed is calling my name!

Mulch, Teeth and Steppingstones

  Today is the big day! I will be glued to the dentist chair for an hour while they make a mold of my mouth and then, ultimately my new tooth. I am excited. I won't have the tooth installed today, but I am one step closer to eating popcorn! Why is it that you always want what you can't have. I don't even like popcorn that much, but since I don't have the ability to chomp it up, I want it like nothing I have ever wanted before! This upper garden is trying to kill me! Just when I think I can almost see completion, something happens to put me two steps behind the one step I took. I am praying that I will be able to eke out my last bag of mulch to cover the carboard.  I have since changed my mind several times about what will surround the steppingstones. First, I was going to use gravel with no steppingstones but walked on some of the gravel I have on hand and didn't like the way it felt to my feet. Gardens and Cats

  My gout has gone, but the memory stays! Now my neck is bothering me with arthritis. I am sure digging has nothing to do with it. I seem to be in a race to finish my upper garden. Only two bags of mulch remain.  I spread one today and planted two Crepe Myrtle bushes and another cone flower. This one is orange. I already have white and purple. It is safe to say that there is no particular color scheme. Just lots of color. Yesterday I bought 6 shepherd's hooks that I saw on Marketplace. One is already in place on my little deck with a hummingbird feeder that is visible from the window next to my sewing machine. It is on the high end and hopefully out of reach from the cat population. The cat population continues to grow. A new cat showed up last week. A fluffy grayish one. I am pretty sure it is female. She is not as skinny as Mousy Tongue and I fear she will be adding some babies soon. Hard to tell with all that fur, but her belly is certainly bigger than the other two females...
