Please DON'T Help Me
It will come as no surprise that the power washing is not yet done. We had to do it in sections and move stuff over and over. I finally made Drew go "rest" while I moved things into a semblance of order.
I was trying to get all the stuff off the table that I have dragged with us from Missouri knowing full well it is too big. I bought it on a whim in a thrift store. It is an old library table with drawers under the tabletop. It can easily seat 10 people. So, it lives on the screened in deck, porch, whatever you want to call it. I refuse to part with it. I keep those cheap vinyl tablecloths on hand to protect it from my husband. It comes in handy when we eat outside with company. I also use it to pot plants and paint rocks. It had chairs and all manner of stuff from everything that had to be moved.
I was happily putting neat piles upon it, keeping things together so it would be easier to put back. Then my husband decided to "help" and just started piling things all willy-nilly precariously balanced so that if you moved something a chain reaction began, and things would start falling. This was before we even got started yesterday.
Today I was able to put the extra fridge and the two storage cabinets on either side of it back and I was putting things that went on those cabinets back after I gave them a thorough cleaning. Again, he decided to "help". I was going about my business in my orderly fashion, putting stuff from the table to its final resting place. Suddenly I realized he was piling stuff ON THE TABLE that I was trying to clear!
This is when I sent him away to sit in his recliner and stare at his phone. I worked alone for about two hours, then allowed him to come out and help me move the now empty table so he could finish the middle area.
We still have the last quarter of the porch to finish and then the back of our house. I will be glad when it is done! I have gardens to tend and rocks to paint!
OY! I wish my Hubby could read my mind and know when I want help with a project and when I want him out of my hair so I can do it.
