61 Degrees!
This morning, I got up to let the dogs out like every other morning. It was only 61 degrees outside! The high today was 70 degrees. I dressed accordingly to head to Tennessee for the next adventure involving teeth.
While on our trip to wish our son a happy birthday, the driver of the RV broke a tooth. You may recall that is how my adventure began over 2 years ago. I broke a tooth and ended up in Tennessee getting that tooth and the wisdom tooth behind it cut out. I must have enjoyed that so much that I did it again this year. The staff recognizes me. I have endured three surgical procedures in my journey with the oral surgeon. That makes for 5 visits. Three procedures and two consultations. Thousands of $$. I want to ask for a loyalty card. My next visit should be free!!
So, my husband and I headed over the familiar road. The ride is scenic, passing the Ocoee River, rapids and lake. The water was gushing over the dam as people on rafts bobbed and tilted in the rapids. I imagine that would have been fun in my younger days. I am more a lazy river of chlorine water and simply floating along. I don't like to get into water I can't see through.
We arrived in plenty of time, which was a good thing since the practice had relocated since my last visit. Siri knew and she did try to direct the driver to the new location. He stubbornly went to the old location, and we sat there wondering why no other vehicles adorned the parking lot. Another patient came along, and she called the office. Equipped with the correct address, the driver gave it to Siri. Siri was thinking that she had tried to get us there, but the driver would not cooperate.
The new office was lovely. I approve of the way they spent all that money from my mouth! I still want a punch card! We went out to eat at Juicy Seafood. Crab legs are now swimming through my digestive tract. A few shrimp, potatoes and corn on the cob ..... along with boiled eggs. I did not care for the egg and gave it to my husband. There was sausage, too. Still full, there will be no supper tonight!
No appointment for his surgery until they get the okay from his cardiologist. Knowing his low tolerance for pain, I am not looking forward to listening to him as he heals!
The nice weather must be moving East, but it's starting to warm up again here.
ReplyDeleteI will take what I can get!
DeleteHeh, heh! I'm glad your mouth provided a lovely new office for the dentist. Maybe you can get a plaque on the wall recognizing your contribution! Wouldn't that be appropriate? A PLAQUE in a dentist's office!
ReplyDeleteI see what you did there! Recognition is nice, a free visit would be better!
DeleteMy sister broke a tooth and it was an ordeal getting it out. The dentist here tried and failed and sent her to an oral surgeon in a town an hour away.
ReplyDeleteOur dentist doesn't even try to pull a broken tooth, just refers to the oral surgeon. As expensive as it is, the experience is totally pain free. Plus, there are lots of restaurants we don't have here. Unfortunately, it is over two hours' drive away.
